> PERSONALITY

Harley is a bit of an enigma; she loves pink, kittens and tea parties, however also loves heavy leather, flashy cars and big guns. She loves sugary treats, but is also probably a regular at the local bar. She's sweetness and nice with a constant smile, but also wouldn't hesitate to beat someone within an inch of their life if the situation called for it.

Despite being an odd mesh of "overly girly" and "hardcore punk", she's open and friendly to all that come her way. While she may have a short fuse, she will ultimately do her best to make a new friend should the opportunity come to it. However, anyone who attempts to make a pass will meet a nasty left hook.

She takes her work and her title of a hunter very seriously. Though she may crack a joke every now and again, she is fully aware of most being's stances of humans, and will always rise to the challenge of proving them wrong - even if she knows they're right, making her quite reckless, even when work comes into the equation.

> HISTORY

WARNING: VIOLENCE AND GORE BELOW.

Harley's mother left at an early age, so she never really knew her. The woman ran off with a man she met at the family garage, leaving herself and her father. While her father was originally distraught, he raised their daughter with pride. Everything else was a breeze for Harley; she helped her father work at the roadside garage, and on the way learned to appreciate cars, motorcycles and how to fix them. She met new people every day and learned new things from their stories, often finding herself to be mesmerised by them. These stories consisted of personal experiences, legends and folklores about beasts lurking in the wilderness of the roadside they lived on, but she thought nothing of them. Her world was that garage, and any other experience of the outside world was whatever she heard from passersby who needed repairs.

However, this changed when Harley was sixteen. A man stopped at the garage, and though she had no experience of anyone else than those who stopped by, she instantly knew there was something about this man she didn't like. The car was badly damaged, and her father said it would take quite the while to fix. The sun was setting and not wanting to work over night, her father invited the man to stay with them during the night. He agreed, though Harley felt far from at ease. It was night, and Harley sneaked from her bed to outside to investigate the car to try and find out more information about the man. Knowing where her father kept the key, she opened the boot of the car and almost vomited upon the sight; two corpses - one dismembered, mangled and bitten, the other just a simple torso - as well as a woman who was still alive but dying, legs badly bandaged despite nothing being left in the first place. It was like the man knew; he shot out of the home, and lunged at the girl. Small and nimble, she rolled out of the way and ran into the garage. She was pursued, but knew where things were; she grabbed the pistol that was used in case of trespassers, aimed, and fired. Though this man was far from human, as the shots simply left holes in his body as he continued to advance. She kept firing, but as the gun was rarely used, ran out of ammunition with no visible boxes nearby. Her father at this point was desperately trying to get through to the police, though as they lived in the middle of no where, he doubted they would be here soon. Harley began to throw things at the man in hopes of slowing him down, but he tore through everything as if it was nothing. Though she could often scramble out of the way quick enough, he would often catch her sides or her arms with fingernails that had extended into claws. She didn't want to die, so she had to do something drastic. And quickly.

Elevated platforms used to lift cars higher. Harley pulled the lever, while also grabbing a crowbar from the tool table in the garage. She was lifted higher, and the man couldn't reach her. He stalked the bottom in wait for her to come down, but didn't expect her to leap directly above him. Using the crowbar, she began to mercilessly bludgeon the man's head into a pulp.

The police arrived to the father clutching his sobbing yet bloodied daughter.

From then on, Harley saw them - demons, spectres, whatever they were to be named. Three in the jury hissed and protested, saying she needed life sentence - at least. However, the judge took pity on her; seeing such a sight must have affected her psyche, the judge argued. She pleaded guilty, meaning her sentence was shortened by a third - twelve to then eight. She got off lighter she to the witness accounts of her father and the testimony of the woman who no longer had legs, and she only just managed to survive. Despite being a juvenile, the brutality of her crime meant she was sent to an adult prison.

Even in the prison, she saw those who weren't human. Hearing of what she had done to another paranormal, there was a mixed reaction to her presence; some cowered in fear of how a human would oppose them, let alone kill them, while others would hiss and harass at her to make her life a living hell. Despite the verbal and physical abuse, Harley continued to keep a level head about her. In she remained good, she may be able to be released earlier, she told herself.

But every time her father visited, his heart broke a little more. Each bruise, each cut, each piece of dried blood staining her skin. He pleaded her to protect herself or at least tell the guards, though she knew if she did, she would be "causing trouble". Verbal harassment was just a dismissive "whatever" and walking away, but the physical assault got from the odd push or shove to members invading her cell just to throw a punch, to then the paranormal using teeth and claws in attacks. Some would even inflict nightmares to keep her awake at night and make her physically weaker. So, she fought back.

When people hit, she would do nothing until later; in the seclusion of night, she would throw a punch back before vanishing down the hallway. However, however hard they would hit, she would make sure to hit two times harder. Noticing she began to fight back, many backed off and realised they had gone to far, not wanting to be the next victim of the "cherry bomb". However, few did continue to pursue her, and would continue with invading her room. Naturally, they couldn't say they had business to be there, and so would beat them down when they entered, before escourting them back to their own cells.

And for every bad thing she did, she would be sure to volunteer to do something else. Whatever it was, she would offer to help - cleaning other's cells, or cleaning the dining room were the most common jobs. Sometimes she would also help in the kitchen. Most of it was to stay surrounded by workers and guards so she wouldn't be caught by those who still wanted to get their knuckles bloody. At one point, she even helped in the mental health ward in trying to help with the patients, seeing as many of them seemed to suffer from the night terrors she did, or had made pacts with demons and spirits and so had no choice. In a way, her career began there with paranormal investigation. The existence of the paranormal became more evident every day, and Harley knew she couldn't ignore it for much longer.

Due to continuous good behaviour, Harley was released a year earlier. That and a mixture of protests outside led by her father and the woman who survived. However, now with a reputation on her shoulders as well as a criminal record, she knew she couldn't lead a normal life anymore. If she continued to live with her father, she could potentially bring harm to him. So instead, she decided to go forth and start her own paranormal investigation service. She knew there was already plenty, but at least this way, she could take the danger away from her family.

She remains in contact with her father, and if the two are spotted together, it's like they've never been apart.

> KEY EVENTS / SLS

A case regarding a summoner, @DaemonicEidolon. Harley had to team up with a detective, @RevivezLaVerite, to track down the summoner and bring an end to him. While they thought they had succeeded at first, he soon broke out and promised revenge. After attacking Jacques and Harley on separate occasions, they knew that they couldn't take him lightly anymore. Despite the two of them having to drive across America, fighting countless summoned demons and almost getting killed, Jacques and Harley succeeded in bringing home justice. And with the Daemonum defeated, they could rest easy. At least, until the next unexplained disappearance.
After @SuitedSummoner's death, a new entity returned in his body - the Demiurge. After Harley declined helping the God in the war against Satan, a war was launched between Earth and Angel. Harley was in a party with many other fighters, though it was Yasuo himself who had the last strike. The party won, though lost comrades on the way. It made Harley realise just who she could trust.
@TheVespaWoman's reign as a space tyrant had the potential to jeopardise the world. Harley teamed up with as many as she could to try and find a way into accessing Haruko's base, all while @Solelaw left Harley's team to face her alone and Yasuo acted as double-agent, resulting in Harley killing him. As it turned out, Yasuo wanted to be killed in order to save everyone Haruko had already, previously slaughtered; and all together, the team was able to defeat Haruko. However, it turns out that while Haruko was causing tyranny, she was also intending to fight The Brotherhood before they destroyed Earth. She 'rebooted' everything, even her own memories. She has remembered since.
Harley met @Asgardsreisen at a bar in Barcelona, which was the beginning of a growing adventure which would reveal to Harley a destiny she had never known. The two started as helping one another with jobs, though it became apparent these were not ordinary jobs; but the affairs of gods and magic. It eventually continued to a fight with Thor, in which Harley lost her life. Becoming the fabled Harbinger, she slaughtered Thor and then went on to attack Scholomance, defeating their ruler @WalpurgisMagie. The one to finally defeat Harbinger was @IlMiracoloso, who was revealed to be her half brother. Together, the two realised the true culprit and bestowed justice. While Francesco was given praise and recognition, Harley only saw herself as a monster, and went into hiding. It was only when Santiago found Harley, did she reluctantly return and become her normal self. The majority of the story can be found here.

> WEAPONS / EQUIPMENT

Motorbike: Affectionately called "JOLO", after her father (who's named Joe) with a combination of their last name. The motorbike is a sleek blue with white streaks across the sides. It's her main mode of transport (though she also calls it her baby).

Pistol: Just a simple black pistol. While not the same one used to kill the man who kicked it all off, it has a strong resemblance.

Elemental Gauntlets: Made of steel with points for an extra push. She was given it after earning the respect of one of the inmates during her time in prison. Update: Since then, this object has been enchanted. Now, one can conduct fire while the other uses ice. Both were enchanted by @Sovrahzun, as of July 12 2017.

Banishing Gloves: A set of gloves which have the ability to punch things even if they technically ethereal - for example, ghosts, spirits, banshees and so forth. These were previously owned gloves which were enchanted by @Sovrahzun as of July 12 2017.

Crowbar: It's just a crowbar. Though it was originally used in repairs, she feels an affinity with it. Besides, old habits die hard.

Crucifix: A weapon(?) which is often concealed within her bosom. It is used on lesser beings, in which she takes it out to show/hit something with it.

Axe-Guitar: Also known as the 'Guitaxe'. A guitar which was pulled out of Harley's head by TheVespaWoman. It has the durability to strike back at a meteor, and after playing certain notes, can become an axe. It also has the ability to become a firearm with the turn of a dial toward the bottom of the guitar. Don't ask Harley how it works. She has absolutely no idea. @Asgardreisen additionally added runes to allow the weapon to be called back after being thrown.

Reinforced Dusters: A Christmas gift from @Asgardsreisen. They are lined with the almost-indestructible hide of a beast that the two killed together, making these weapons pretty lethal when combined with her almost superhuman strength.

Tool Kit: A bag filled with things such as spanners, wrenches, and everything else she would need to fix a vehicle. Some things also come in handy as secondary weapons in worse case scenarios, but she would rather not get them bloody. Nowadays this is something she usually leaves at home.

Thunder Maker: One of the only paranormal gadgets she really has, though she isn't sure how to use it completely. The "Thunder Maker" is a flat, grey disc which sends out waves of electricity. These aren't very strong, but will deliver quite the shock. She uses it more as a taser than anything.

Digital Voice Recorder: Used to listen to the voices of spirits and ghosts which can't be seen to the naked eye.

Thermal Camera: A camera which is used to detect different heat sources in a room which can't be seen. Often used when investigating ghosts, but also used for beings which generate heat, or are stone cold.

Night-vision Camera: Simply a camera which can record things in the dark.

> ABILITIES

Advanced hand-to-hand combat: She had to learn to defend herself during her time in prison. This meant she had to learn quickly, and that she did. Now, she is quite the fierce fighter. She doesn't have an exact fighting style due to having never taking martial art classes, and so is more like a street brawler. Over time she has absorbed tips and tricks from friends and foes alike which she now uses in her own style.

Superhuman Strength: Anyone who knows Harley will know of how physically strong this woman is. She can punch through almost anything she puts her mind to. Don't ask her to crush your skull because she'll do it, just with one hand rather than what you were thinking.

Endurance/Stamina: Something else about Harley which is above the average human is her endurance and stamina. It takes a lot for her to be forced to take a knee, and even then, she still will use anything she can to keep fighting.

Short Temper: It can be a hindrance and get her into dangerous situations, but her temper and recklessness can be channeled into a positive; into determination and ambition to win. The will to fight and emerge victorious. Like a fighting spirit, but a lot angrier and a lot harder to reason with.

Occult Knowledge: Harley has spent many, many, many days and nights reading about the occult, the paranormal, the strange, the wicked, and everything in between. Anyone who steps into her office can easily just how many books on this stuff she owns. She is knowledgeable, despite her appearance and reckless personality.

Languages: She dabbles in a lot, and fluent in a few. She's also pretty nifty at translating and transcribing, due to her reading mentioned above.

HARBINGER: A state of berserker's rage, which activates when Harley's soul is otherwise pushed to the very limit. Covered in black armor, she wrecks havoc and is a being of unfathomable strength - even stronger than normal - which is completely unaffected by the power of magic. The only time this state has occurred is during The War of Roses. More information can be found here:
